2025 Leapmotor B10

Could it be that this car is what many people are actually looking for, helping to overcome certain fundamental barriers that still exist towards electric cars? From a German perspective, it is a pity that it was not developed in this country.

Stellantis meets with our incomprehension. Do they want to learn from Leapmotor and are they bringing them on board for that reason, offering the one thing that such a Chinese manufacturer still lacks: sales advice and service? Or have they already given up their own production in this area?

It's not just the fact that this car costs at least €30,000, there are also the moderate additional costs. We would be inclined to choose the most expensive version for €33,900 if it didn't turn the entire rear of the interior into a darkroom.

LED low beam and fog light series . . .

Then everything of note will really be on board. Add to that the interior design, which can almost be described as sophisticated. If you find German interior design in vehicles starting from the mid-range class excessive, then you should feel right at home here.

No frills on the outside, which German products sometimes suffer from, just a sensibly styled car, no more and no less. If it also had front-wheel drive, it would be a dream come true. But we would take it anyway, after all, there is enough space in the back.

No paneling, no offset edges . . .

Finally, an SUV that doesn't wear its heart on its sleeve. Incredibly subtle edging, almost imperceptible at the wheel arches. We wouldn't choose white interior design as shown in the video, but it is elegant and matches the exterior color.

But a large roof edge spoiler.

If the 67.1 kWh battery were just a tick bigger, even for a little more money, the car would be almost suitable for long-distance travel. One vehicle would suffice if one were to take the car on vacation with only moderate frequency. Just look at the charging capacity.

Anyone who is still opposed to electromobility must be accused of ideological bias. . . .
