Double clutch gearbox
For a long time now the strain has been taken off the driver's left foot. He can also do without a gearshift-lever, because gear changing can be done by pressing buttons. In the gearbox shown above, the built-in controller can
even take the GPS-data into consideration. If you happen to travel the same route to and from where you work, you'll know by now, that knowing your way around can save fuel.
Thus, with I-shift 2, the mechanics of the gearbox could be simplified, because the synchronisation would be left out. The first double-clutches in utility vehicles, made both the clutch and the gearbox heavier and increased
their combined length by about 14 centimetres. The operation has remained the same, indeed, there is one essential advantage, which is shown in the diagram above this text.
