This 911 Turbo is the first German series production car with intercooler. This not only ensures lower temperatures in the engine but also for a better filling. And all this without loss of efficiency, if we disregard from the resistances of the complex air flow.

Together with the the capacitor of the air conditioning it is integrated into the rear spoiler. This is optimized so, that it remains limited the lift of the rear axle and yet does not increase too much the air resistance. It is the last rigid of its kind, at least for a series production Porsche.

Only in Germany the engine has the full performance. Stricter emission laws forced it to over 10 per cent less in the U.S. and Japan. The torque does not suffer quite as much. The whole car will be have the amazing production period of approximately 10 years with relatively few changes. The most important will be a five-speed transmission. 04/12
