| Unbelievable how the payload shrinks with more battery capacity. |
Sorry, but that yet can take your breath away when the simplest Ducato, mind you with only 47 kWh, costs about twice as much as the cheapest car with combustion engine. And if you opt for the battery with 79 kWh, do you
add almost € 20,000 including VAT?
But that's not all, the charging connection with 11 kW is mandatory for another € 1,785. The corresponding fast charging connection for around € 3,000 and the charging cable for € 300 are still missing. And air conditioning
is
only available in a package from € 2,000, all incl. VAT.
For comparison: In Great Britain Fiat’s the better equipped Ducato eTecnico model is priced from £ 63,299 (2021) with front fog lamps, LED daytime running lights, a rear parking camera, rear parking sensors and
electrically
folding door mirrors. Inside, you find a leather steering wheel and a seven-inch infotainment system with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
That's almost exactly € 90,000 without the air conditioning, or almost € 76,000 without VAT for a simple panel van. For the Opel Movano-e, the surcharge including the longer version is just under €6,000, but the base price is
€3,800 more, all including VAT. (In the UK, the Vauxhall Movano-e is not due out until 2024, maybe cheaper than the Ducato?)
So with Opel you are significantly cheaper at € 77,000 gross or € 65,000 net. And as if that weren't enough of a difference, Opel comes standard with air conditioning. Are the € 16,600 excluding or €19,754 including VAT for
32 kWh more battery capacity, maybe a misprint?
Trotzdem sollte man auch nach einer eventuellen Korrektur der Preisliste bei Opel nachfragen und rechnen, bevor man bei Fiat kauft. Die Opel-Preisliste ist vom 8. Juli 2022, die von Fiat vom 1. Juni 2021, trägt allerdings
den
Zusatz 'Preisstand: 1. Februar 2021'. Ob das vielleicht noch die Preise bei den höheren Fördersätzen sind, Also Herstelleranteil vorher draufgeschlagen?
