Identical in construction to Nissan N7

Recently, one of my former students invited me to come into a newly developed city bus that runs on hydrogen. One of the arguments was the range, which would take us all the way to Paris. I repeat: it was a city bus.

You are probably experiencing it yourself these days, what impossible combinations are now being offered. Here we also have one, a combustion engine combined with an electric motor, which could replace it without any problems.

Can one agree with this opinion: Nonsense, anything other than a purely electric vehicle is not effective in the fight against climate change. We have been having doubts lately. Just take a look at the data from this vehicle.

First off: we paid roughly the same amount as this car will probably cost, but without a combustion engine and with a battery that is more than twice as big. Have we ever needed them in everyday life? No, the battery of this Forthing 7 REEV would have been sufficient for us.

130 km electric range, maybe only 100 in winter, is already a lot. Yes, but it carries its combustion engine around with it all the time, albeit without a transmission. Yes, but we carry at least half of our unnecessarily large battery with us, which is comparable in terms of weight and sustainability in production.

Our car would be too small for a family to go on vacation. So a proper family car seems to be significantly more expensive as a BEV than this one. Yes, but in principle, this also only charges in single-phase mode. Yes and the night is long, and what is charged is always enough for the next day.

Relatively inexpensive AC and DC charging structure, quite inexpensive to replace in case of repair. It's not covered by the battery warranty anyway. And you can still drive to work with your combustion engine.

The next heating system should be able to run on at least 65 percent environmentally friendly energy. A plug-in using a combustion engine can easily achieve this on long journeys. In addition, it will soon receive funding in Germany again.

Hopefully, electrical usage will also be checked.
