2026 Spring Electric
It's been around for five years now, and the first generation has already undergone a facelift. Interim verdict: While the car is inexpensive, the manufacturer puts a lot of effort into keeping it attractive. So
this one is the second generation.
It has grown quite a bit, 15 cm longer and even more in width, namely 18 cm. Maybe that's also due to the base, since it's now built on the Renault Group's RGEV platform, on which, for now, only the
Renault Twingo is available.
At first glance, it seems to have a lot of black plastic, fortunately, none of it along the wheel arches anymore. But if you take a closer look, almost every piece has its own engraving. So even an affordable
car doesn't have to lack the designers' attention to detail.
Of course, the tailgate doesn't have a light assembly. But the existing ones are large enough for this purpose, and, like the headlights, they reflect the light onto a reflective surface below, making the entire
component appear significantly larger.
Along with the car's size, the luggage compartment has also grown, by just under 30 liters, or by 380 liters with the rear seatback folded down. The new platform also provided a little more space for the rear
bench seat, with a maximum length of perhaps 1.80 m.
There are no crank windows in the back either, only hinged windows. Once inside, you could say that the Dacia has a 7-inch display behind the steering wheel and a 10.5-inch one in the center of the
dashboard.

That's not entirely true, though, because the cheaper version still only has a single smartphone mount in the middle, just like before. The backrest of the rear seat is also a single piece, and the cover for the trunk
is missing. The air conditioning can also only be operated manually.
