1951 Simca Aronde

The Simca Aronde started with the 32hp engine of the Simca 8, which had been taken over with the same construction as part of the Fiat group. As its further development faltered, one developed its own body using Fiat technology in France.

This remained the same when the first facelift in 1955 not only changed the front and rear, but from then on also gave the engine 2 mm more bore, thus making it a complete 1,300. Together with a slightly higher compression ratio, it now developed 34 kW (45 hp) at 4500 rpm.

The car sold so well that Simca became the second largest manufacturer in France. The second facelift took place in 1958, again mainly on the front and rear. Four engines were now offered, some with crankshafts with five bearings, higher compression, up to 42 kW (57 hp) and a semi-automatic clutch.
