The length of the X5 offers more space than the X7. As the type designation suggests, it is a new platform that is better adapted to e-mobility. The interior was able to grow thanks to the easily recognizable 3 meter wheelbase and the resulting smaller overhangs.

However, the turning circle suffers as a result of these actions, added by a front axle that is driven in any case, which allows less wheel angle. The more space is perhaps not so much realized when entering the rear, although the doors with the frameless windows actually open sufficiently wide.

It could be due to the higher car floor, which, however, accommodates a battery pack of impressively low height with these capacities. Its elevation is placed under the rear seat bench. It's even relatively easy there to switch from one side to the other because the center tunnel is completely missing.
