Crazy new world: In the engine compartment of a 2-series BMW can be both a three-cylinder and a six-cylinder longitudinal, both of course as inline engines. May be that engine covers are helpful here. Rationalization pure: The six-cylinder has the same dimensions, so it is in principle composed of two three-cylinders.

However, the six-cylinder develops 2.5 times as much power and 2.3 times as much torque. The three cylinder shines with the same nominal speed as the strongest Diesel engine, but of course reaches higher rotations per minute. Only the top petrol model is available with all-wheel drive, within diesel engines it is the middle one.

Unfortunately, convertible driving costs more than 150 kg extra weight in the 2 series, an all-wheel drive at the gasoline 65, at the Diesel 95 kg. The c_W value also strongly fluctuates, from 0.28 in the second-strong diesel coupe to 0.34 in the strongest petrol engine with all-wheel drive. The convertible has a c_W value which is 0.03 worse. Here, although there are all petrol engines including all-wheel drive are available, but not one of the two middle diesel engines, even in the segment no four-wheel drive.

To the facelift of the 2 series one must look well at the face and discover a changed front apron. When the daytime running lights are switched on, you can see the new hexagonal shape of the light rings (figure above). The dashboard is somewhat more changed, Now more orientated towards driver's seat. In the petrol engines, more power and torque significantly reduced CO₂ values. 05/17
