The torque and power values have remained the same except for the smallest diesel engine. In addition to the six-speed gearbox is offered both with the gasoline and the diesel engine a dual clutch transmission and for the most powerful an eight-speed automatic. The strongest petrol engine is only available as an Active, not as a Gran Tourer.

The latter has been in the program since 2015. With 11 cm more wheelbase and 22.6 mm longer, it enables the installation of a third row of seats. Take into account 60 kg more curb weight and 40 cm more turning circle, advantageously more than 100 kg more payload and a 177 or almost 400 liters of increased luggage space.

And then again, only as an Active Tourer, the 225xe iPerformance, a plug-in hybrid. The electric motor installed in addition to the old 220i engine and a six-speed automatic transmission has 65 kW (88 hp) at 4000 rpm and 165 Nm torque up to 3000 rpm. The LiIo battery has a net capacity of 6.1 kWh, which allows about 45 km range in the NEDC cycle and upto125 km/h. About 100 kg is the extra weight and only 36 liters tank capacity are on board.

You can see the facelift on the modified lights in the face with the options on LED, lare-free high beam and the new LED fog lights. The diesel engines now have both particulate filter and SCR system on board. Inside there are two possible touch screens (6.5 and 8.8 ''), iDrive operation, ConnectedDrive and of course the usual assistance systems are available. 01/18
