This racing car fullfilled only quite late the expectations placed in it. Only after an extensive engine development up to the twelve-cylinder (Figs. 3 and 4), a success will come mainly in 1975. The capacity increases with the
number of cylinders and in the naturally aspirated version finally were available 382 kW (520 hp) at 12,000 rpm. A turbo version of the twelve-cylinder with only 2.134cm³ brings it even to 471 kW (640 hp) at 11,000 rpm.
