Certainly, this method to automate a normal transmission is not so entirely new. One adds each an electric actuator for the two shifting gates and the clutch. But the fine tuning has proven to be difficult in the past.

Except for a little more electric power consumption this automatic transmission has the same data, thus also in emissions. It is well suited for the very price-sensitive sector. It offers something that feels like a fully
automatic. Even the creep modus is integrated.
Only paddels are missing and of course the power flow during switching is interrupted in contrast to dual-clutch transmission. After all, there is also a manual mode. It is important that the engine endangering
switching operations are not carried out. As said, it is a good and inexpensive automatic solution. Only one should have tried once the reverse parking before buying the car. 02/16
