 VinFast VF 6
One can say that VinFast is also trying to establish itself with vehemence in Europe and Germany. The latest reports even indicate that VinFast will set up production for vehicles and batteries in Germany. But otherwise the
news situation is thin.
Vehicles are renamed relatively quickly. A VF e35 becomes a VF8, a VF e36 becomes a VF9. Overall, models, mostly prototypes and almost earlier versions, down to the VF5 are known, of course mostly without concrete
data.
At first glance, they look amazingly similar from the front and rear, but there are also deviations, e.g. very clearly with the VF7. Otherwise, they differ in size and become smaller and smaller together with the type designation.
With the VF6 you have arrived in the B segment with a length of over 4.2 m, a height between 1.5 and 1.6 m and an estimated 400 liters of luggage space. If you then think of the VF5 underneath, there should soon be a
relatively dense range of vehicles.
The delivery also sounds like a lot of speed. VF8 and 9 then belong in 2022, the VF6 a year later. Supposedly, two different sized batteries should be available for each model, but apparently only to borrow at the moment.
Buying is promised from 2024 at the earliest. To date there are two rental models, one unlimited and e.g. 120 € for the VF8 and 150 € for the VF 9 and a cheaper one with a maximum of 500 km. And while we're at it, 'Smart
Driving' is only available with a monthly subscription.
Two batteries are also likely because VinFast works with two different companies the also do development. One is settled in the field of solid-state technology, which would be the more expensive, longer-range battery.
The other company leans more towards LFP batteries for the cheaper range of vehicles, but all seem to come with a 10 year or 200,000 km guarantee. The division of the batteries seems to be generally established, but the
guarantee (up to 70 percent) is exemplary.
