2003 UAZ Hunter

It is just so tall that it no longer fits in a normal garage.

It has military roots with the GAZ 69, but it was no longer manufactured until Uljanowski Awtomobilny Sawod decided in 1972 to produce it as the UAZ 469. However, it remained what it was, a thoroughly polarizing car.

Would you like an example? Where is there a four-door car in the world where the front and rear doors are the same, but only in the lower part. However, you can unscrew the top parts with the panes and if you want the part behind the doors and even the whole roof. The front pane can then be folded forward. Disadvantage, the car has never been really waterproof.

19,900 euros sounds very little for such a car that is completely off-road. In Russia it should cost around half that. However, the German importer 'Made in Russia' has his hands full, getting the car through the individual TÜV acceptance and Euro 6 certification and also offering a preservation. Nevertheless, any airbag and headrests at the back are still missing. The importer then converts the heating system so that it can be operated from the dashboard and one does not have to dive under it.

You shouldn't expect a steering wheel that is adjustable in any way, either. For tall people, the seat can neither be adjusted far enough back, nor is a safety belt fitted over the entire length guaranteed, because the B-pillar is simply too far forward. The sliding windows make any activity from the car difficult. When it rains, the heating installation does not immediately manage to blow free the windows, which are fogged up by the penetrating water.

If all of this and the noise and the relatively high consumption of the slightly outdated petrol engine don't bother you, then you can now enjoy the possible conversion to a convertible, the large cargo space and, in general, the paradise for screwdrivers. There is hardly anything here that you cannot reach, or that your normal toolbox would not be enough for. And if you have been in the terrain, a water hose is sufficient for cleaning the inside.
