SsangYong Rexton
Obviously a vehicle for the rural population, because the up to 3.5 tons of trailer load is always pointed out.
This is also borne out by the price, which may be somewhat less noticeable for city dwellers.
It does not come out particularly stylish, although in the meantime it can not be blamed for its appearance.
It left its former Mercedes radiator grille, not dressing it anyway.
A closer look reveals something surprising. Which car of this category offers customers the choice between the rear rigid axle and a modern four-link axle, but unfortunately combined with automatic and all-wheel
drive.
After all, the basic price will include a complete set of equipment with automatic climate control, especially if you take into account the 5 year mobility guarantee. It is seriously superior, if one can start with up to
seven seats or the corresponding loader space, but does not necessarily need all-wheel drive.
Because it is tied to the next higher equipment and correspondingly more expensive. Especially since this besides the mentioned rear axle does not offer much added value, because a reversing device can be
retrofitted. Incidentally, the absence of other assistant systems is also common in the next higher equipment.
Outside of Germany there is the Rexton with much more options, e.g. six-cylinder gasoline engine, larger five-cylinder diesel and smaller four-cylinder, all inline constructions. However, the offered is clearly the
most fuel-efficient (the only euro 6). The four-wheel drive is also offered alternative as permanent, both for manual transmissions and the automatic transmissions five gears. 02/17
