That would be something to swim against the mainstream. The good 6,000 € less in comparable models are already a first argument. Certainly, the Kodiaq is hip, even scores well against the market leader Tiguan. And yet we want to confront you here with an alternative, the Škoda Octavia Scout.

Of course, we assume you ordered the Kodiaq Scout with all-wheel drive. If not, there would be four alternatives for you: the Combi, the Combi RS, the Combi RS 245 and the Combi Clever. In the long run anyway the more reasonable ones will return to the Combi.

Who really needs the 8 cm more height? In the ground clearance, the two differ only by 1.7 cm. The luggage compartment without folded seats hardly differs, however, at maximum utilization by 300 liters. Do you really need it? Aren't more than 1,740 liters enough?

Not only the center of gravity is lower in the Combi, it also saves a good 200 kg even in a simple configuration. With every trim level this difference will be bigger. All this culminates in about 30 g/km more CO₂ . Except for increasing criticism of the slightly jerky dual-clutch transmission, the Octavia Scout is praised very much.
