2017 Seat Ibiza

Since 1984, it has been sold approx. 5.4 million times. However, it has not been able to prevent Seat as 'lame duck' of the group. It is not until 2016 that black figures are again written. The Ibiza still knows the time before VW-government. Its first generation came under the development help of Porsche. In the second, it was directly powered by VW engines and at the third it got the Polo platform.

In the fourth generation, there was a ST version, which is probably nowhere in the fifth generation. Why? Although it has barely been longer and higher, but has increased by 9 to 10 cm in the wheelbase and the width, it creates 63 liters more normal luggage space, and when the rear seat bench is folded, it equals the former ST. However, the tank has 5 liters less capacity.

Sounds somewhat unbelievable, but is perhaps due to the new MQB-A0 platform, from which the Ibiza is the first to profit within the group. Shortly after it appears the Arona, with which it shares not only this platform, but also the rear rising window line. Of course, the modified dimensions also benefit the interior. And also the greater width of the chassis, which leads to test praising because of the road holding.

As with the Polo, which appears later, there is definitely only the five-door. The side line is OK, although too many beads will die out. Very nice the clear signature of the daytime running lights, effectively supported while becoming a blinking signal. Front and almost even more the rear are all right, too, perhaps apart from this strange cover below, at the FR also with tailpipe trim without function.07/17
