2022 MG 5 Electric

The MG 5 does exist, but you won't find it in Germany. It's a pity, because from some of those who tested it got very good grades. In this country, one rightly expects more success with the station wagon, especially since it will be the first fully electric one, not only in Europe.

The base price in the UK is from £27,945, see also mgmotor.uk

And that for a 4.6 m station wagon, hopefully becoming a (affordable) trend for the normal family again. Just look at the size of the luggage compartment. The car has 27 additional storage compartments, unfortunately only little capacity for bicycle racks at the back, but at least enough additional roof load.

If you don't take the ranges usually specified by the manufacturer so seriously, look at the charging curve, which disappoints here with a maximum of 87 kW. Therefore, the family has to be patient on the holiday trip. On the other hand, the exaggerated top speed of 185 km/h is rather counterproductive.

The styling is almost exactly halfway between modern and conservative. The bead running through the side is somewhat uncreative. Remarkable for an electric car are the rear wiper and the V2L (Vehicle To Load) function, which is now slowly gaining ground, up to a maximum of 2.2 kW.
