2024 Rimac Nevera R

You have probably heard of the Croatian company Rimac before, for example when VW was looking for a buyer for its Bugatti division. They found one here and the latter took over 55 percent of the new company Bugatti- Rimac.

With the Nevera R, one is actually already at the point where one can find an electric Bugatti successor; one just need to adapt the design. In terms of driving technology, it can definitely be considered a successor. The new car is clearly superior in terms of acceleration, but it is a little tight in terms of top speed.

The collaboration is of course a great honor for the company, which is still young but with well over 2,000 employees and a huge new factory. What every car fan dreams of is a body made entirely of carbon, except for the crash-absorbing ends, including the brakes, of course.

In such sports cars, the space for the battery is mainly behind the seats and under the center console. The capacity is rather medium for this category, but up to 500 kW of charging power is outstanding, if the charging stations allow it some day.

The essential parts are allegedly all manufactured in the country itself.

It's a given that such a car can't be particularly practical. To open the rear window you have to reach around the voluminous rear spoiler, and then only two moderately full briefcases fit into the luggage compartment. The scissor style doors - sorry, butterfly doors - should also be kept under observation towards the neighboring vehicle.
