2018 Peugeot Rifter

This is of course a spectacular concept car, with easily removable Overland tent roof, a light bar across the roof and an additional E-mountain bike behind, completely off the beaten track of its predecessor, the Tepee. After all, it still belongs to the family of the Peugeot partner, anticipating its presentation in an elegant way.

No, Peugeot does not really feel attracted to the for four-wheel drive. This one was created in cooperation with the French specialist Dangel, who probably equips all Peugeot commercial vehicles with four-wheel drive and the 80 mm more ground clearance necessary for retrofitting, also the previous Partner/Tepee.

Thus, the high-roof suit is still a bit higher, but despite a sequined gray paint job with yellow accentuation and black trim between the grille and the matte black bonnet, it is the new Partner to be seen, if you leeve all this away. It is also based on the EMP2 platform, as are its brothers Citroën Berlingo and Opel Combo.

Advantage: To the slight extension of the already usual lengths for five and seven seater now also include different wheelbases. Inside, the siblings will be similar except for the still unusual Peugeot steering wheel. Of course not in the Rifter Concept, whose seats are covered with gray-trimmed fabric and Alcantara. Needless to say, the seams are yellow.

The optional four-wheel drive is not yet in the normal price list, is probably not cheap. Nevertheless, it is worth taking a look: despite its bridgeable viscous coupling, it is also capable of only front-wheel drive. Attractive are the wheels, which combine 16-inch light-alloy rims in painted diamond black ONYX with 'high-performance four-wheel tires' from Goodrich. 02/18
