2018 Mercedes A-Class
Let's start with the technical data, because you can see the exterior design above and below and about the Interior
design we already informed you. The new A-Class comes, as many others, with two petrol and the entry-level diesel engine, the latter again from Renault. It is barely recognizable from its data,
because it now
has much more bore than stroke, not typically for a diesel engine. Even its compression drops below the 15.5 mark. So it may have even more boost from the turbocharger. Nevertheless, even the
slightly smaller
displacement gasoline engine approaches it in the case of torque delivery.

At least the dual-clutch transmission of the models 200 and 180d from Getrag should be familiar to you. We discussed it recently in its hybrid version. That will be available here too. All variants of the new A-Class, except the smallest gasoline, will probably have DCT transmissions. By the way the
choices to influence the driving characteristics and the digital instruments, too. Of course, both screen sizes 7- and 12-inch vary depending on the features. But not all versions have multi-link rear axles.
Already (almost) always a Mercedes scored in the wind tunnel, so again this time with a very good cW value for the compact class. You can see it inter alia at the maximum speeds.
Even when equipped
with assistants, the car does not lag behind the higher classes of the brand. It even benefits e.g. from the phenomenal multibeam light of the S-class.May be it does not quite reach its range.
The A-Class has get about 13 cm more in length, of which the cargo space benefits with an additional 29 liters, probably a little less than the interior. The design is smoother, beads and edges
taken back, to be seen,
if
you compare with the side of the former model. This also applies to the headlights. The body part in front of the hood is pulled down again. Little change at the rear area except for the wider and
narrower lights
However,
the opening is enlarged. 02/18
