Mazda 3

What is a facelift? And is that a facelift? Mazda points to the 'wider and three-dimensional cooling grille' and the slimmer headlights. They are so proud on the third generation Mazda 3, one of the first KODO designed cars. So it has only been changed cautiously.

More than 5 million Mazda 3 are sold to mid-year ago. And it is still available as a hatchback with 364-liters and a four-door sedan with 419 liters of luggage space (picture below). Only the luggage compartment of the hatchback can be expanded to 1,263 liters.

There are still 2.7 meters of wheelbase available for the passengers, although some of it is lost because of the greenhouse is more set back than in the competition. And still you look instead of a speedometer plus rev counter only at the latter. As if the car would be sold only with the 191 kW (260 hp) engine of the MPS version.

However, the first tests tell of a better choice of material, now more comfort because of a more sensitive suspension and a better engaging steering. Some of them think, they can feel the well-intentioned influence of G-Vectoring. Instead of radar, the Mazda 3 now has a front camera. It will be seen whether, by this means, a few semi-autonomous movements of the vehicle will be useful. 01/17
