Yes, you can believe him that his thoughts and actions were always particularly strongly related to the product and that he had a good instinct for what people would like and dislike. On the other hand, he was probably one of the people who were to be at least distractable, neither by business nor politics, least of all by the media.

We are talking about Ferdinand Karl Piëch, after whose death this year the new Lamborghini Sián receives his additional letters and whose year of birth forms the number behind it. Him and his love for Lamborghini owes its affiliation with the VW Group to Italian design, without which this brand would presumably have been seriously threatened.


An Aventador SVJ is under the sheet metal of the Sián. The 'simple' Aventador with 513 kW (700 hp) costed just over 300,000 euros in 2011. This is now completely different with only 63 units. And yet the entire series is already sold out. But it's also a really breathtaking form.

Lamborghini holds on to the naturally aspirated engine.

A little bit more power has been added by an electric motor with 48V technology. No, the car can't drive electrically with it, but it can start and boost, e.g. in the few situations where you might really feel its support with the naturally aspirated engine. By the way, it is stored in capacitors that save weight and can absorb much more energy from recuperation in a shorter time than LiIo batteries.


The interior of the specimen shown in Frankfurt still largely corresponds to that of the Aventador, but will be configured individually for each of the 63 specimens in the course of delivery. 09/19
