 Jaguar XF Sportbrake
For 2.500 euros more you get on the same base area a slightly more usable car, a really chic estate, in Germany by Jaguar called business-estate. Thus, the premium world is richer with the new Sportbrake,
Mercedes, BMW and Audi get competition. The term 'Sportback' by Audi has been used and bypassed. However, the weight compared to the sedan and its air resistance are disadvantages.
Of course, the front is identical to the sedan and the engines, too. Even the length is the same. The new rear is all the more successful. The all-round rear lights contribute to this and remind you that there is already a
kind of estate, the F-type SUV. The estate-coupé comes slowly into fashion.
Naturally, the Sportbrake as XF is just right in its claim and price. Somehow British tradition has been united with modernity, to be seen e.g. at the digital display behind the steering wheel. Leather also on the
dashboard with fine ornamental seams. Only the entertainment system is a little bit criticized in its usability.
Although the new luggage compartment does not have the maximum size of its class, it is absolute ok e.g. thanks to a 40-20-40 folding rear seat backrest and side rails for securing cargo. And also in driving comfort,
this XF does more justice to its sporting requirements than the more comfortable for long-haul, despite the air suspension on the rear axle. 10/17
