 2024 Hyundai Ionic 9
It competes internally with the EV 9 from Kia, with which it shares the platform. Since it currently costs from €72,500, the price of the new Ioniq 9 is relatively easy to estimate.
It is slightly longer with a slightly larger wheelbase, but has a significantly larger battery capacity and also a little more engine power. Both vehicles are only available with six or seven seats.
Height is an issue with this car. It is actually quite low for the class of large SUVs. There are also design elements, e.g. above the wheel arches, that emphasize the width and conceal it a little.
The roof looks more sloping towards the back than it actually is. The effect is enhanced by, among other things, the lower edges of the rear windows rising upwards. Probably unavoidable, the tinting of all windows, which
can also be supported by roller blinds.
Otherwise, there is a lot of exuberance in the pixel design of the lights, cross connections at the front and rear and even in the black front section. One can only imagine what damage this vehicle could get if it receives a
somewhat stronger blow at the front.
Inside, there is an abundance of space and comfort that is unmatched in other cars in this price range. Even the glass roof can be partially opened, although it is a bit narrow due to the ventilation ducts in the roof.
