Ka+
So close and yet so far is the new Ford Ka+ from the new Fiesta. At first glance, it is hard to distinguish if you compare it only to one Fiesta. In all four variants of the Fiesta it is noticeable that everyone has a different
nose. This is not the case with Ka+. It also lacks the large modern display in the dashboard center.
Conceived as a world car, at least now built in Brazil on the same platform with the Fiat Punto, there is a unity look. However, all in all it differs only slightly from the Fiesta, perhaps most likely due to less luggage
space (270/849 versus 292/1.093 liters). It is almost 5 cm higher and only 11 cm shorter and thus about 30 cm longer than its only two-door deliverable predecessor.

Since the vehicle has changed from the A- to the so-called sub-B segment. The reason of its existance is the price, which is with almost 10,000 € 3.000 € cheaper than the Fiesta. And to a number of competitors, too.
However, this is bound to the weaker of the two engines.
After all, there is additional A/C, sound and the stronger engine for 1,600 € surcharge. The engines of the Ka+ are indeed quiet. Despite the same
performance they can not be compared with the two lowest Fiesta engines, since these are more modern three-cylinder engines. The engine and transmission range is also much bigger.
Thus, the Ka + is skilfully concealed, to be seen e.g. in the interior trim of the tailgate, which is by the way not to open normally by key. If you are looking for the huge Fiesta-offers e.g. up to 15 assistants, you do not
miss really anything. However, there are sometimes Ford-actions, as at present a 2,000 euro more favorable Fiesta, but for the Ka+ light metal rims only together with the surcharge package. May be you have to think
long and hard then. 09/17
