Ferrari J 50

It was presented in December 2015 at the National Art Museum in Tokyo (video below), created to the 50th anniversary of the opening of a Ferrari branch in Japan, thus in 1965. For this event Ferrari's 'Special Projects' department has conceptualized and the Ferrari Styling Center team in Maranello designed it.

The comparison with the original vehicle is appealing, because the clearly modified design is to be a reminiscence on the Ferraris of the 70s and 80s, so to speak a rebirth of the Targas. Nevertheless, or just because of this, it is strictly limited to 10 vehicles.

The 'helmet visor' effect, visible on the optics of the windows, recalls open competition Ferraris ('Barchettas'), which date back to the 1950s. Much more strongly makes the black, stressed dividing line the impression of a 'little boat'. The air ducts in the bonnet are completely different and made of carbon fiber.

To buy is such a vehicle probably already no longer and for the approximately 300,000 euros of the 488 Spider not at all. It has remained at its technique. Only the engine power was raised more than the strategic limit of 500 kW and a new rim design it has, too. 12/16
