2022 Jeep Avenger EV

Can the Jeep brand continue to write its valuable history like this? Well, we have to state that this will be the future entry-level model. At the moment it is even turning out to be a bargain, and it does not take part in the heated mood, especially with the electric vehicles.

This Jeep is perhaps comparable to the Hyundai Kona, even still 20 cm shorter, and € 3,000 cheaper. Sure, it only has 54 instead of 64 kWh, but therefor that's the price for the better equipped First Edition. And the new Kona appears indeed next year, but this is new.

However, this is not a Jeep yet, but a DS 3 e-Tense or a Peugeot e-2008 or an Opel Mokka-e with a body adapted to the Jeep company. After all, it is the last to benefit from the improvements on their platform, 4 kWh more capacity and 15 kW (20 hp) more performance.

Customized version . . .

The Opel at € 37,650 and the Peugeot at € 37,900 show where the starting price of these slightly longer models can go once the First Edition has been sold. A bit strange, or, of all things, a jeep as a price breaker fills the range of compact e-SUVs to the bottom.

But if the promised four-wheel drive model doesn't come soon, it will lose its unique selling proposition.
