 2017 Audi e-tron Sportback
Not a concept car as usual, closer to series in 2019. With a battery capacity of 95 kWh the manufacturer speaks of 'more than 500 km' range and 320 kW engine power, while boosting even 370 kW, distributed on
one engine at the front and two at the rear.
It should be recognizable from the outside as pure electric car. Since it does not need an air inlet at the front, the single frame has been made from one piece and painted in the paint of the car. As it is smaller than the
available surface, a dark surrounding remains. Look at the first picture how it is formed from the center to both sides.
The Audi emblem plays now a central role. It also consist not only of the luminaries, which are following the form of the four rings, but are traversed by a lattice structure which is to be reminiscent of the former single-
frame. To the front, the rings light up white, to the rear during driving red as a third brake light.
Light, that seems to be one of the dominant features of this concept car. Directly under the hood the daytime running lights. The light fields below are 250 LEDs on each side and the main lighting units, 1.3 million
pixel laser projectors follow. With these, cinema is finally possible on the road surface.
You may already know the projection of zebra crossings for undecided pedestrians. But also numbers and letters on the asphalt are possible, love declaration from the car up to the balcony. Constantly looking at their
smartphone gazing pedestrians, the Audi makes clear by blinking signs on the asphalt that he would gladly turn off safely.
To the rear with the continuous light bar at the tailgate, chief designer Marc Lichte is particularly proud. Light can also be sent from here, too. On the side thick bolsters are particularly noticeable for the rear wheels.
The rims measure of 23 inches is not very common. Hopefully, the cameras will remain for the series instead of rear-view mirrors with small displays in the doors.
The interior is conceptually a hit from the driver's side. This is already display technique 2.0 with elevation-sensitive touchscreens and for the first time in the middle a difference to the boring tablet form. For the
passenger, the situation is quite necessary for getting used to, perhaps a consequence for a to the driver attached dashboard. 05/17
