2017 Audi RS 5

Do you still remember the RS 5 of 2012? It had the eight cylinder as a naturally aspirated engine, the same power, but at 8.250 rpm. This is, of course, a completely different driving and sound experience. Apart from this, however, the V6 bi-turbo has increased significantly in the torque, 170 Nm more, starting 2000 rpm earlier.

The success of these measures is, of course, a CO2 value, which is reduced by about 50 g/km. The markedly reduced weight also contributes to this. Additional 3 kg would bring the new carbon roof, but for 3,500 euros surcharge. At the rear end, less has happened. There are wider and narrower lights and a sort of diffuser, which gives the car even more width.

The crossbar for the number plate at the front had always been omitted in the RS5 version, but the black now instead of the strongly shining grille is very beneficial, emphasizes the four rings. The entire grille is less tall and bulky and forms a better unit with the hood. Also, the rest of the front is divided more interestingly.

The interior does not differ very much from that of the A5. The RS sports seats are worth mentioning. There are a virtual display, but also like MMi with touchscreen, adaptive damping, dynamic steering and differential lock for the rear axle only at an extra charge. 07/17
