It is the second generation of the Q3, the first dating back to 2011. The large gap justified a slightly larger change in design. The wheelbase grows by 8 cm, the length by almost 10 cm and the width about 2 cm, shrinks in height by 5 mm. The Q3 shares the platform with the VW Tiguan. The vehicle is now produced in Györ (Hungary).

The grille has become much larger. It is now not only octagonal, but from the edges come bendings through the whole octogon, that make him appear three-dimensional. It is available in black and in chrome. The philosophy of the beads particularly affects the upper parts of the fenders front and rear, while the side surfaces remain significantly untouched. This gives the design a slightly greater tension.

Not all versions have rear LED light, but all of them have LED light at the front (pictures below) in normal and in matrix version. The last video below shows the larger luggage compartment, the adjustability of the loading floor, rear seat and backrest. In addition also special recesses in the backrests of the front seats. Front right is less space when the glove compartment is open.

'Form follows design' could be said to the dashboard. An additional frame widens the always standard digital cockpit. Even worse are parts of the dashboard above the 10.1 touchscreen. And why must the air vents be located additional above it? Very nice, however, is when parking at the curb the possible view of the camera from the top to the wheels front or rear. 10/18
