Fuel consumption (test bench)

As long as a newly developed engine is still being tested and can not yet be installed in a vehicle, the fuel consumption must be determined on the test-bench. This also has the advantage of being able to be compared
with other engines. In this case, the consumption can be more precisely measured than during the determining of the consumption over a certain driven distance. This is because the fuel is calculated according to its
weight and not its volume, which changes depending on the temperature.
