Formulary Gas speed (mean)

Cross section of an open valve

Once one has determined the cross-section of the valve opening, one can put it into relationship with the cylinder cross-section. Assuming that exactly those gases are displaced by the piston and have left the cylinder or have been sucked in, the relationship is exactly opposite to the medium speed.
